Information we collect

We collect contact, account, billing, shipping, order, support and technical information needed to operate MegaMice Shop. Payment credentials are handled by the payment method shown at checkout; we do not ask customers to send card PINs, UPI PINs, passwords or OTPs.

How we use and share information

Information is used to process orders, deliver products, provide customer service, handle cancellations, returns and refunds, prevent misuse, meet tax and legal duties, and improve security and performance. Necessary information may be shared with payment, hosting, logistics, communications, professional and government service providers subject to applicable duties. We do not sell customer personal information.

Data retention periods

We keep personal information only for the period needed for the stated purpose, unless a longer period is required by law, a regulator, a court order, fraud prevention, or an unresolved claim.

  • Orders, invoices, payment references, GST and accounting records: up to 8 years after the end of the relevant financial year.
  • Customer account and profile information: while the account is active and for 24 months after closure or the last account activity.
  • Customer-care, return, refund and complaint records: 3 years after the matter is closed.
  • Marketing preferences and consent records: until consent is withdrawn, or after 24 months without engagement, with a minimal suppression record retained to respect an opt-out.
  • Security, access and technical logs: normally up to 12 months.
  • Incomplete enquiries and abandoned form submissions: up to 90 days.

When a retention period ends, information is securely deleted or anonymised. Backup copies are removed through the normal backup-rotation cycle.

Security

We apply reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, including access controls and encrypted transport, but no internet system is risk-free.
